Fortinet expands managed security services partnership with CITIC Telecom CPC in APAC

The CITIC Telecom CPC is the first pan-APAC MSS partner of Fortinet.

Fortinet-- a cybersecurity solutions provider --and CITIC Telecom International CPC Limited-- a wholly owned subsidiary of CITIC Telecom International Holdings Limited (SEHK: 1883) --have expanded their managed security services (MSS) across Asia Pacific (APAC).

The CITIC Telecom CPC is the first pan-APAC MSS partner of Fortinet. The partnership addresses the increasing demand of Asian companies for managed services sourced from a single provider, to help support their expansion to neighbouring countries.

"As more enterprises choose to outsource security to focus on their core business, managed security services will continue to grow in popularity. Frost & Sullivan forecasted the APAC MSS market to grow rapidly from US$2.48 billion in 2015 to US$3.77 billion in 2018. This means a huge opportunity for business expansion," said George Chang, Vice President for Asia Pacific in Fortinet.

"CITIC Telecom CPC has extensive service coverage in the region, reaching even developing zones not served by many other service providers. They represent an ideal partner for us to take advantage of this growth," added Chang.

In addition, CITIC Telecom CPC is set to launch a new Advanced Threat Protection (ATP) service, regionally, called TrustCSI ATP to help safeguard businesses against advanced persistent threats. The service provider will also extend its current TrustCSI managed UTM services in Greater China to the broader APAC region.

The TrustCSI ATP services combine its TrustCSI Managed Security Services with the solutions from Fortinet including Fortigate network security platform, FortiSandbox advanced threat protection appliances, and FortiWeb web application firewalls. In line, these services provide businesses with a security fabric that delivers pervasive and adaptive cybersecurity from the Internet of Things (IoT) and remote devices, through infrastructure core and into the cloud.

The ATP is the new frontier in MSS, said Daniel Kwong, Senior Vice President for Information Technology and Security Services in CITIC Telecom CPC. He added the combination of Fortinet's Security Fabric architecture with the broad services range of CITIC Telecom CPC will give enterprises "dependable solutions that are tailored to their needs."
