Fed up with bogus computer support calls, man turns tables on scammers

Played along with scammer using a Windows PC whose 'My Documents' folder was loaded with malware

There's no way to know, of course, if the support technician actually "opened" the fake documents Seth used as bait, a process that would have launched and installed the malware on the scammer's system.

But Seth hopes so.

"Maybe after he opens the 'My Documents,' one of us could call him and offer to fix his machine!" Seth said.

Seth's 'My Documents' folder looked tempting to the scammer who had control of his PC, what with filenames like "Passwords" and "Bank Info."
