To help improve the cybersecurity landscape in APAC, Microsoft opened a new Cybersecurity Centre (CSC) in South Korea in March to advance the fight against cyberthreats. The facility will be similar to other Satellite Centers in Singapore, Beijing, Tokyo and India.
According to Microsoft, the CSCs will drive greater public-private partnerships to fight cybercrime, as well as strengthen the cooperation with local businesses, governmental and academic organisations on cybersecurity. They are an extension of the Microsoft Cybercrime Center in Redmond, USA, the headquarters of Microsoft Digital Crimes Unit (DCU).
