Sybase 365 recently announced that it has built an iPad application that will allow executives to monitor the traffic of their enterprises via the mobile device.
The Sybase 365 SMS Reporting Dashboard will be released later in the fourth quarter, the company said, to give enterprises the same competitive edge they have been experiencing but transported to the tablet environment.
Sybase 365, the mobile services arm of SAP AG, said its SMS reporting tool for iPad is relevant at a time when tablets are becoming more popular devices in the enterprise. In this post-PC era, Sybase said it is important for businesses to monitor in real-time what's happening to the enterprise.
With enterprises using SMS as a real-time engagement channel with their customers, Sybase 365 said its SMS reporting dashboard makes it easier for company executives to connect with their customers from anywhere.
"Enterprises are becoming increasingly reliant on mobile to connect with customers and SMS remains the most common and ubiquitous mobile connectivity channel," said Gregory Dunn, vice president, Product Strategy and Solutions, Sybase 365. "Therefore, enterprises require robust, 24x7 reporting on SMS messaging traffic via a mobile device. Our new iPad dashboard app empowers end-users with full transparency in the delivery of mobile messages."
With the Sybase 365 enterprise reporting platform, the SMS reporting tool provides executives with data that can track the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, operator and geographic distribution of messaging traffic, and overall messaging usage in a given time frame.
"Until now, generating reporting data was a job that had executives tethered to their desktops; however, we know this is not how information is shared in today's mobile-enabled world," added Dunn. "We can now deliver business critical information in real time to our customers simply by saying 'there's a mobile app for that.'"
