New local startup Lomotif - established only this year - released updates to its recently launched video creation mobile app yesterday (June 30, 2014).
According to Lomotif's media statement, these updates include video filters, user interface improvements, as well as Simplified and Traditional Chinese localisation.
The app, which shares the same name as the company, allows users to easily create hyper-short (under 30 seconds) music videos in two simple steps: Firstly, select up to 13 video clips from the camera roll. Secondly, choose a song to accompany the video. In fact, one unique feature of this app is that it allows users to use any song preview from iTunes for free.
Users can then instantly preview their music video and do simple edits such as dragging and dropping to rearrange clips in the timeline. Thereafter, users can choose to save it to their camera roll or share it via Instagram, YouTube, WhatsApp, email or text message.
This app allows users to instantly and automatically create visual mash-ups and skip the hassle of editing, the company said in a media statement. It added that the app gives the best output based on the tempo of the song and the number of clips selected.
Lomotif is compatible with all iOS mobile devices, and can be downloaded for free (for a limited period only) via the iTunes App Store.
