A new Web app will now allow the purchase of Singapore Flyer flight tickets via your mobile device.

In a statement today, Singapore Flyer announced the official launch of a mobile ticketing system (mTix) developed by the Adval Brand Group.

By using the mobile app, guests will receive mobile tickets on their device after purchase and will be able to check in directly at the giant observation wheel's entrance, according to the announcement.

Singapore Flyer claims that since the app's release in August, it has received approximately a thousand online bookings.

"We recognise that more and more people are turning to digital use and engagement. The introduction of this Web app is a demonstration of our commitment to reach out to the public through different available avenues," said Ong Boon Teck, senior eMarketing manager for Singapore Flyer.

As part of the launch, Singapore Flyer tickets bought via the app will be entitled to a 10 percent discount.
