Samsung ambassador showcasing Samsung's solutions catered for the finance industry
Samsung Electronics so far has been known for its consumer mobility products and solutions in this region. Now, the South Korean electronics giant has trained its eyes on the enterprise segment of the market.
Keeping this in view, the company launched the region's first Enterprise Experience Centre in Singapore on Thursday (21 March).
The experience centre is located at its swanky office in Mapletree Business City in Singapore. Spanning approximately 2,000 sq ft, it is a one-stop destination to showcase Samsung's capabilities and approach to enterprise solutions for customers.
Media was given a tour of the centre yesterday and some of the solutions showcased included tablets, monitors, PCs and commercial displays for the hospitality, travel, education and retail industries.
"Samsung wants to be an enterprise leader in the market," said Harry Lee, MD, Samsung Singapore. "We want enterprise to be 10 percent of our business in Singapore and by 2015, we want this sector to comprise a quarter of our business."
Samsung officials also said that the company is further expanding its enterprise by rolling out its partner programme, Samsung Enterprise Alliance Program (SEAP). SEAP aims to empower its partners to be trained and equipped with the necessary skill-sets to provide and service Samsung's diverse portfolio of enterprise solutions.
Lee said that Samsung is already investing in resources in the enterprise segment. Samsung is targeting to have 400 headcounts across the region in Sales, marketing, Presales, Channels to support the business.
In Singapore, there are nearly 20 people dedicated to the enterprise business, and as the business will grow, so will the staff strength, said Stanley Goh, COO, Samsung Singapore. (Updated)
