Develops mobile application for The Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority of Singapore.

Mahindra Satyam has developed a mobile application for The Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority of Singapore (ACRA).

Available on Apple's iPhone, 'ACRA On The Go' will give users 24x7 access to important and relevant information on registered business and public accounting entities in Singapore, said the global business and information technology services company.

Users can now have important info such as Unique Entity Number (UEN), the entity name, status, and the street name as reflected in an entity's registered business address.

ACRA On The Go does more: it can also compute due dates for companies to hold their next annual general meetings based on the information provided.

This will ensure that companies do not breach statutory requirements under the Companies Act, notes Mahindra Satyam.

Available free to users

ACRA is the national regulator of business entities and public accountants in Singapore. It is offering its new mobile application for free to users.

Those interested can download this application on Apple's iPhone App Store.

Also included in the application is an enquiry section, which contains information to frequently asked questions on the legislation under ACRA's purview, as well as the registration and information services provided by ACRA.

"As mobility becomes all-pervasive, 'ACRA On The Go' will enable the citizens and businesses in Singapore to access pertinent business data with a lot more ease and efficiency," said Rohit Gandhi, managing director Asia Pacific, Mahindra Satyam.

"The mobile application is in line with ACRA's objective of enhancing financial and business information flow, and harnessing the power of the mobile medium in reaching out to the public. We are happy to be associated with ACRA towards the development of this application. The solution was developed by Mahindra Satyam at its Global Innovation Hub, Mobility Center of Excellence in Singapore."
