HP’s new offerings cater to the needs of the mobile workforce

The new notebooks, ultrabook and tablet are designed to be durable, secure and enable business users to be mobile.

HP has expanded its portfolio of notebooks, ultrabooks and tablets to fit the needs of business users in Singapore.  The new offerings are designed for mobility, durability and security while sporting stylish designs, said Serena Yong, general manager of Printing and Personal Systems for HP Singapore and Malaysia.

For business users who travel frequently

Business users who frequently travel might be drawn to the HP EliteBook 800 series notebook for its thinner and lighter profile as compared to past models.

The magnesium unibody chassis that is further reinforced with aluminum accents ensures that the notebook is durable. To connect to the internet, users can simply use the durable drop-jaw hinge Ethernet port instead of a dongle or other adapter. The notebook is also equipped with HP Trust Circles to ensure that access to critical files is limited to assigned contacts.

According to HP, the HP EliteBook 820 G1 is up to 35 percent thinner and 18 percent lighter than previous generations. It features a 12-inch diagonal display and weighing 1.33 kg. On the other hand, the HPEliteBook 840G1 offers a14-inch diagonal display with an optional touch display optimised for the Windows 8 experience. It offers battery life of up to 33 hours with the optional secondary Slice Battery. Both models are priced from S$2,799 (US$2,237).

Tablets are also a good choice for business users who are constantly working on the go.  The 7-inch HP Slate7 Extreme combines the power, speed and graphics capabilities of the NVIDIA Tegra4 Processor. Users can easily create notes and illustrations too with the integrated stylus pen. The HP Slate 7 Extreme is now available for S$299 (US$239).

For business users concerned about durability
Users concerned about durability may want to consider the HP ProBook 450 G1, which features an optional touch interface on a premium shatter-, reflection-, smudge- and scratch- resistant screen. Powered by the latest 4th generation Intel Core i3/i5/i7 processors, the HP ProBook 450 G1 helps users work faster. The notebook available in the market from S$1,199 (US$958)

For business users requiring an all-in-one tablet PCs

The HP Spectre13 Ultrabook is able to transform itself from a PC to a tablet and vice versa. Featuring a 13.3 inch QHD touchscreen display and Intel 4th generation Core i7 performance, the ultrabook boasts battery life of up to nine hours. It weighs just 3.25 pounds. Users can get their hands on the HP Spectre13 Ultrabook from S$1,799 (US$1,438).
