The tech said he would see if he could bring my machine back to life and gave me a quote, but he left open the option of returning the damaged iMac back to me. I will know in the next couple of weeks if this story has a good ending and whether I need to dig into my pocket for a new iMac. And of course, Id want the top of the range so can expect to shelve out about S$3,000 (US$2,230) or more, if I decide to go the way of the 27 inch iMac. Of course, I could go back to searching eBay for a 27-inch machine, but I know what my wife would say. You never learn, do you, Dr Death?
