DiGi launches iPhone 4 in Malaysia with new tariff plans

Announces special tariff plans from about US$18 per month.
KUALA LUMPUR, SEPTEMBER 24 2010 -- Malaysian communications provider DiGi Telecommunications has launched a new range of tariff plans to accompany the availability in the country of Apple's iPhone 4, it said.

We are thrilled to bring iPhone 4 to our customers, said DiGi head of marketing, Albern Murty. Malaysians are fast becoming regular users of mobile Internet, and now with iPhone 4, we expect to see a strong upward trend as customers enjoy the features of the new iPhone."

"iPhone 4 features FaceTime, which makes the dream of video calling a reality, and Apple's new Retina display, results in super crisp text, images and video," said Murty, adding that DiGi's new tariff plans start from RM58 (US$18.71) per month.

"Other features include a five megapixel camera with LED flash, HD video recording, Apple's A4 processor, a three-axis gyro and up to 40 per cent longer talk time in a new design of glass and stainless steel that is the thinnest smartphone in the world," he said. "The iPhone's operating system iOS 4 includes more than 100 new features as well as access to more than 2000, 000 apps on the App Store."
