The Texas-based vendor strengthens collaboration with Google

Dell is currently developing the Dell Chromebook for meetings as it strengthens its collaborative efforts with Google.

A press statement by the Round Rock, Texas-based vendor of end-to-end technology solutions said the Dell Chromebook for meetings will be designed to help geographically dispersed teams conduct meetings from a large variety of devices, from nearly everywhere and collaborate "face-to-face" in a virtual environment.

High Definition Camera

The Dell Chromebook for meetings will have a high-definition camera, a combined microphone and speaker unit and a remote control to enable users to quickly connect to a display in a conference room and recreate the "in room" meeting experience no matter where each participant may be.

According to the press statement, Dell and Google are working together to develop additional innovative solutions.

It said the Dell Chromebook will be available within a few months, but did not give out a specific date.
