Daylight saving gremlins hit Vodafone, iPhone users

Daylight saving might be a boon for lovers of sunshine but it causes havoc with technology, as Vodafone customers and some iPhone users discovered over the weekend.

Daylight saving might be a boon for lovers of sunshine but it causes havoc with technology, as Vodafone customers and some iPhone users discovered over the weekend.

As the clocks wound back an hour in the early hours of yesterday, Vodafone users discovered that they couldn't make or receive calls and experienced issues with SMS and voicemail. Telstra users said they could not contact any Vodafone customers.

Separately, some iPhone users said their iPhone was playing tricks on them, waking them up an hour early today despite correctly changing its clock yesterday.
