Photo viewing products developer Cooliris recently announced the launch of BeamIt, a new mobile app that seamlessly integrates photos and text for an improved messaging experience.
One of the unique key features of the app is Photo Drawers, which lets users share hundreds of photos at once - in full resolution - without interrupting the flow of conversations. BeamIt also allows simultaneous multi-sharing of photos and messages to various groups, as well as liking and commenting on photos and messages within the thread.
Besides that, users also have complete control with the new "unsend" feature, which lets the sender delete their sent content from the entire group. Lastly, BeamIt features offline support for composing and curating, so users can still interact and share media with their groups without incurring data usage costs or roaming charges.
Essentially, the app allows users to gain more privacy and control for their communication and media without compromising on its quality, the app developer said in its media statement.
"Messaging apps evolved from just text, then added photos, and then came an influx of superfluous features, which pollute the core communication experience," said Soujanya Bhumkar, CEO and co-founder of Cooliris. "We built BeamIt by intersecting stunning product design with engineering excellence. Every pixel was designed from the ground up and every interaction was challenged to deliver a unique ability to consumers and enterprises to share media-rich experiences inside the messaging container."
BeamIt can be downloaded for free on the iPad and iPhone via the iTunes App Store or at www.beamitapp.com. Android and web versions will be available soon.
