Dimension Data announced the launch of nine new Enterprise Mobility Demonstration Centres (EMDC) across Asia Pacific, the global ICT services and solutions provider announced on 15 November.
These centres are located in Hong Kong, India (Bangalore, Mumbai), Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Philippines, Singapore and Taiwan. The company already has similar centres in Shanghai, Thailand, Malaysia and Auckland.
These demo centres are specifically designed to show how mobility can be deployed by public and private enterprises to fully realise the benefits of an increasingly mobile workforce, Dimension Data said in a statement.
The EMDC will allow clients to see the full potential of Mobile Device Management (MDM), Mobile Application Management (MAM), unified communication and collaboration applications, including instant messaging and presence, click-to-call, desktop share and HD video moves with the mobile worker.“Large organisations recognise the benefits of an empowered mobile workforce but are unsure where to start and what technology to invest in that would integrate well with existing IT infrastructure, while enabling them to capture the potential that mobile revolution brings to the business,” said Andy Cocks, chief technology officer, Dimension Data Asia Pacific. “Our Enterprise Mobility Demonstration Centres will provide enterprises with hands-on, real-world experience on various mobility solutions available today.”
