SingTel has introduced the world's fastest smartphone, the Huawei Ascend P2, to the Singapore market.

SingTel has introduced the world's fastest smartphone, the Huawei Ascend P2, to the Singapore market.

Claiming this, the Singapore telco said yesterday in a press statement that this cutting-edge 4G smartphone is the first handset in the world to support mobile broadband connections with speeds of up to 150Mbps.

It will be available at the PC Show from today (6 June) with a subscription to a SingTel Flexi plan.

All SingTel 4G customers will be able to enjoy the higher speeds at no extra charge with the Huawei Ascend P2 and future compatible handsets, said Johan Buse, SingTel's vice president of Consumer Marketing.

"With speeds of up to 150Mbps, they will be able to perform even more tasks on-the-move and enjoy a significantly faster and smoother experience," he said.
