Early this year, research firm Ovum reported that Vodafone Global Enterprise (VGE) consistently outperformed its competitors in providing managed mobility services to the global enterprises in the Asia Pacific region.
VGE beat off competition from seven rivals including BT and Orange Business Services to take top spot in the report designed to help multinationals select the best mobile communications partners in the region.
VGE's increasing presence in Asia Pacific is also empowering business growth by providing its multinational customers with a wide range of managed communications services that have mobility at their core.
Based on a mix of customer feedback and independent analysis, Ovum's "Decision Matrix: Telco Mobility Services for MNCs in Asia-Pacific" reported that VGE consistently outperformed its competitors in mobility services in areas including: scope and quality of service, value for money, customer support, problem resolution, global consistency of service, innovation and future product roadmaps.
Stevan Hoyle, President of Vodafone Global Enterprise, Asia Pacific and Sub-Saharan Africa said: "Multinational companies have the same communications needs wherever they operate. Vodafone Global Enterprise has significantly built up its customer support in the Asia-Pacific region to reflect the area's growing economic importance to our customers."
According to Hoyle, choosing the right communications partner has never been more important for multinational organisations. As competition increases and margins become tighter across all industries, multinational businesses face a dual challenge in managing their communications on a worldwide basis.
Firstly, they need to manage a complex global network of devices and billing while maintaining high levels of service, and secondly, they need to do this as cost effectively as possible.
"The single point of differentiation between Vodafone global enterprise and its partners, and our competitors is that, we provide mobile telecoms in a managed form in any market." Hoyle said that most large organisations in the Asia-Pacific are still at the transition path from fragmented national contracting to achieving multi-regional managed mobility solutions in all markets.
"Customers are asking for cost benefits; they want to remove the complexity of mobile communications, and an easy way to managing their fleet of mobile users," he added. "If customers require a single tariff, we have that. Second is how we can use technology to improve productivity with the use of smart devices, and how we can use the same security policies across all devices."
Hoyle added that all these are parts of the process behind provision, distribution and management of smart devices, and the services rendered on those devices, which VGE provides in "a fully managed environment, which includes things such as staging of the device, deployment, application load, security load -- in all markets in Asia Pacific," he said.
