Telstra customers will soon be able to access Apple's new music streaming service for free.
According to a company statement, eligible post-paid mobile customers using an iPhone on a 12- or 24-month Go Mobile Plan will be given a 12-month subscription to the service as part of their plan.
Telstra group managing director media and marketing, Joe Pollard, said customers had been telling the telco they wanted superior content and combining the streaming service with Telstra's mobile network gives a unique experience.
"This is an incredibly exciting time for music lovers in Australia," she said.
At the end of the 12-month membership, customers can continue to use the Apple Music service with the monthly membership fee of $11.99 billed to their account.
Telstra customers will still be charged for data usage relating to streaming via Apple Music.
