Telstra International is protecting multinational customers' Internet-facing infrastructure from a wide range of DDoS attacks through a newly released service.
Known as Global Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) Protection solution, the service offers 'in the cloud' protection and mitigation of DDoS attack traffic.
A division of Australia-based, tier 1 telecommunications and media services company, Telstra Corporation Limited, Telstra International is a global supplier of managed network services and international data, voice and satellite services.
The company's new service successfully averts congestion of customer Internet connections and protects customer web infrastructure.
Global Distributed Denial of Service thus ensures that legitimate, clean traffic is delivered to the customer.
Telstra claims its new service can mitigate the latest DDoS threats in an easy and cost effective manner.
Global Distributed Denial of Service ensures protection through Telstra's Security Operations Centre (SOC) systems and staff, which offers 24/7 monitoring, extensive analysis and highly effective mitigation and traffic cleaning thanks to dedicated global cleaning centres.
In addition, Telstra customers are also offered near real-time visibility to traffic and service status information through a Web-based reporting portal.
