BroadcastAsia2011 is set to host its first dedicated Cinematography/Film/Production zone from 21-24 June 2011 on the exhibition show floor at Singapore International Convention and Exhibition Centre (Suntec).
This initiative is made in an effort to help companies tap the opportunities presented by the growth of quality Asian content making its way onto international screens, according to Singapore Exhibition Services.
Established in 1976, Singapore Exhibition Services (SES) is now one of the most innovative and respected exhibition and conference organisers in Asia.
Those attending the show will find the Cinematography/Film/Production zone as a one-stop venue for broadcast industry leaders to showcase technologies that have the potential to improve the quality of films and enhance work efficiency.
More than 30 exhibitors will showcase their company's latest breakthroughs in visual effects, editing/colouring and creative production at levels 3 and 4 of Suntec Singapore.
Growing entertainment market
SES notes the Global Entertainment & Media Outlook 2010-2014 report from PricewaterhouseCoopers, according to which the Asia Pacific region is set to become the second fastest growing media and entertainment market in the world.
"Film continues to be an integral focus of BroadcastAsia, and we are seeing more exhibitors leveraging the event to engage buyers with their cutting edge technologies and services," said Calvin Koh, senior project manager for BroadcastAsia from show organiser, Singapore Exhibition Services.
"Launching the Cinematography/Film/Production zone at this year's show is just one of the many ways in which we are working to connect buyers and technology providers to advance the future of film-making in Asia."
Several companies will participate in this event including AV8 Media, and The Media Village.
"BroadcastAsia2011 is a great platform for us to showcase our latest design software innovations to buyers from the regional and around the world," said Patrick de Silva, director of The Media Village. "The reputation and international appeal of the event has gathered the broadcast industry all under one roof, making it extremely convenient and cost-effective for us to reach out to potential customers on a global scale."
