Customers of fast-food chain Subway can now rely on their smartphones to earn instant loyalty points every time they purchase any items from Subway's network of more than 90 outlets throughout the country.
Subway customers can now use their mobile phone (either Apple iOS or Android based) as their stamp card to collect points and redeem for rewards. The Pointpal loyalty programme is Australia's and Singapore’s leading mobile loyalty programme, and is supported by an end-to-end loyalty platform.
Customers who want to join the Pointpal community to enjoy the Subway rewards programme need to first download the Pointpal app from either Apple iTunes (App Store) or Android Market (Google Play). After a one-time registration, they can choose which pre-installed loyalty cards and programmes they wish to participate in, and begin collecting points.
According to Pointpal, the mobile app is easy to download, enables a user's smartphone to effectively become a loyalty card, and eliminates the use of plastic or paper cards.
Moreover, customers no longer need to carry a physical stamp card, and will hardly miss out on points because smartphones have become essential devices which they would carry with them wherever they go.

Subway customers can use their smartphones to capture and redeem their rewards across participating franchisees and as part of this local-store marketing activity.

Currently, over 80 Subway restaurants are participating on this programme.
