"They might not be game-changers in the way that previous big console releases have been," she said. "That value proposition we've seen previously where consoles were multimedia, multi-faceted entertainment devices that logically lived in the lounge room rather than the study or boys' bedrooms, we don't have that now.
"That bump that consoles achieved isn't, for that reason, necessarily sustainable. It'll have other new features but it's not such a big step change as previously."
