With Apple unveiling the much anticipated iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C today, local telcos — SingTel, M1, and Starhub — have announced that they will be offering both phones from next Friday, 20 September 2013.
Customers who want to be the first to own either phone may pre-register their interest at http://www.singtel.com/iphoneroi, www.starhub.com/iphone, and www.m1.com.sg/iphonereg. Regular updates on the availability of both phones will be provided to registered customers.
The high-end iPhone 5S will be available in silver, gold, and space grey. The plastic iPhone 5C, on the other hand, will come in white, green, blue, yellow or pink.
According to SingTel's website, the price plans for iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C will be revealed at a later date. It also stated that the sale of both phones at recommended retail price without any mobile contract is currently not available. However, customers can still trade in their old mobile phones at prevailing trade-in prices to offset the price of their new iPhone 5S or iPhone 5C.
No details were provided by M1 and Starhub.
To help customers gauge the price of the iPhone 5S, Apple provided the following suggested retail prices (inclusive of GST) in a press statement today:
16GB - S$988 (US$778)
32GB - S$1,148 (US$904)
64GB - S$1,288 (US$1014)
