Apple reseller Nubox has donated proceeds of S$4,801.61 (US$3,817.33) raised from its Christmas promotion drive to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
The sum was raised from eight percent of gross proceeds from accessories out of Nubox's Christmas road show - Shop4Christmas @ Nubox, held from 28 November to 4 December 2011 at Tampines Mall.
Make-A-Wish Foundation benefits children with life-threatening medical conditions by granting them their wishes to enrich the human experience.
"We are heartened by the efforts from Nubox to support us on our mission to grant a wish to every medically eligible child in Singapore. We hope that this will also inspire other organisations to support our cause," said Debbie Seah, CEO, Make-A-Wish Foundation Singapore.
Nubox's parent company, Newstead Technologies, is also involved in charity drives in Singapore. In May last year, it raised S$50,000 (US$39,705) for The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund (SPMF).
"We believe in giving back to society especially in the areas that benefit children and education. We are pleased with the amount raised through this collaboration with Make-A-Wish Foundation and will continue to explore similar charity projects," said Evelyn Chua, chief marketing officer, Newstead Technologies.
