SINGAPORE, 25 MARCH 2010 Come June and information and communication technology professionals from more than 55 countries and regions will fly to Singapore to discuss critical industry issues and explore opportunities for growth.
The island city is all set to host CommunicAsia2010, an established infocomm technology (ICT) event that is so popular that over 80 per cent of its exhibition show floor has already been taken up.
Visitors will also get to attend BroadcastAsia2010 during the same period. This event will feature new 3D and Digital Signage clusters as well as the latest digital and high definition equipment and integrated workflow solutions for the broadcasting, production and post-production industries.
Latest technology innovations
Those visiting this mega technology show will be able to witness the latest tech innovations as demonstrated by 2,000 multinational corporations and small and medium enterprises.
CommunicAsia2010 will be held at the Singapore Expo from 15 18 June 2010 and all the events will be co-located with BroadcastAsia2010. Sprawled all across the 58,000 sq m of exhibition space, the 33 international group pavilions will reflect the push by governments and industry bodies to expand their footprint into Asia.
This year, this one-of-its-kind trade event has attracted first time participants from Bangladesh and another led by India's Telecom Equipment and Services Export Promotion Council (TEPC).
Victor Wong, project director of Communications Events from show organiser, Singapore Exhibition Services, said CommunicAsia2010 brings a comprehensive showcase of convergent technologies for the infocomm, media and broadcasting industries to Asia.
In addition to addressing the convergence of telecommunications and broadcasting, the event brings together business leaders, government officials and trade professionals to network, discuss critical industry issues as well as explore opportunities for growth.
Wong added that this event will also aid participating companies to rethink their business models and explore cross-industry collaborations.
BroadcastAsia is truly the international platform of choice in Asia for the broadcasting and digital media industry more than 85 per cent of exhibitors from last year's event have already recommitted their participation in this year's show and we will have group pavilions from France, China, Germany, Italy, South Korea, Singapore, Spain, the UK, the US and WorldDMB, said Calvin Koh, senior project manager of show organiser Singapore Exhibition Services. This year's show will also have a larger showcase of more than 100 Singapore companies, many of which see BroadcastAsia2010 as an ideal launch pad to expand their presence in Asia and beyond.
