Sibos 2015, the premium global financial services and technology communities' event, will be held in Marina Bay Sands in Singapore, announced the event organiser SWIFT today.
"After Osaka this year, Dubai in 2013 and Boston in 2014, the world's premier financial services event will return to Asia Pacific in 2015 in Singapore," said Kris Hendrieckx, head of Sibos, SWIFT.
"Singapore's lead within ASEAN creates a strong draw card for customers from South Asia as well as the Indian sub-continent and north Asia," said Ian Johnston, chief executive Asia Pacific, SWIFT. "Sibos in Singapore is a wonderful opportunity to showcase the region to the entire SWIFT community."
"The ABS welcomes the return of Sibos to Singapore after 12 years," said Ai Boon Ong, director, the Association of Banks in Singapore. "Since then, with the global financial activities and economic centre of gravity shifting to Asia, Singapore has continued to strengthen its position as an international financial centre and is at the heart of the new financial arena."
Every year, Sibos brings together influential leaders from financial institutions, market infrastructures, multinational corporations and technology partners to do business and shape the future of the financial industry. The conference usually attracts around 7,000 professionals.
This year, it will be held in Osaka, from 29 October-1 November 2012.
