The Board Committee of Inquiry (BCOI) of the Singapore Exchange (SGX) has appointed independent experts to help in the investigation of the trading disruption that happened on 5 November 2014.

The experts include IBM, which will review SGX's operational management, and Environmental Systems Design, which will look for technical issues.

Both experts have commenced work in December 2014, and the BCOI expects them to submit their findings and recommendations to the SGX Board and Monetary Authority of Singapore by end March this year.

On 5 November 2014, trading in stocks and derivatives at SGX was halted for around three hours due to power supply issues
