SAP Southeast Asia President & MD appointed

SAP announced on Thursday (April 25, 2013) its appointment of Francois Lancon to the position of President and Managing Director for SAP Southeast Asia. Lancon, who was previously the President of Asia Pacific for Avaya, will now be leading SAP's business strategy development and operations in Southeast Asia-including Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines and Vietnam-and Pakistan. 

"Francois is a highly respected IT industry veteran with over 28 years of international experience in telecommunications, software, hardware and services," said SAP Asia Pacific Japan President Steve Watts, to whom Lancon reports to in his new role. "With his leadership and proven track record in delivering business results and building strong teams, I am confident that Francois [Lancon] will further drive our customer-centric innovation strategy and greater growth for SAP in Southeast Asia."

Lancon's close to three decades in the IT business before coming to SAP were also notably spent with key industry leaders, including Nortel Networks Corporation, Convergys and IBM.
