In an effort to expand its distribution network, Swiss telco Qnective has selected Singapore-based NEC Asia Pacific as its new system integrator for its products.
Under the partnership, NEC will be tasked with distributing the Qtalk Secure and Qtalk Defense products. The collaboration also includes joint participation in tenders for large projects for governments and government-related organisations, according to a joint press release.
"There is a huge market potential for our products, especially in regions like Spain and in parts of Africa and Latin America, where NEC is already firmly established," said Oswald Ortiz, CEO of Qnective.
Founded in 2007 in Zurich, Qnective develops secure mobile communication solutions for governments and large corporations. Since the Swiss company complements NEC's offerings, the partnership also aims to strengthen NEC's cyber security expertise. "With this cooperation, we will meet the growing demand from our customers and underline our leading position in the area of communication solutions for enterprises and governments," says Tan Boon Chin, Managing Director, Global Safety Division, NEC Corporation and Managing Director, Regional Competency Centre, NEC Asia Pacific.
