Practo has expanded its footprint to Brazil, following its success in the Southeast Asian markets.

The company will first bring its two solutions - Practo Search and Practo Ray -- to São Paulo before making them available to other parts of Brazil.

Practo Search enables consumers to search through its verified database of doctors to find the most suitable doctor for them. Searches can be done using doctors' name, specialisation, symptoms, as well as the type of insurance they accept. Once they get results, consumers can click on the Practo Profile for each professional or establishment to receive more details of the doctors - such as their years of experience, qualifications, affiliations and specialisations -- as well as view photos of the clinic. Users can also get GPS coordinates of the clinic for easy turn-by-turn navigation directly from within the Practo App or on the web.

According to Practo, more than 5,500 verified doctors and nearly 50 percent of all clinics in São Paulo are listed in its current database. To ensure the data is reliable, Practo's local team combs through every street to collect and verify information of healthcare professionals to ensure that all listed doctors are legitimate and certified. Practo verifies and lists doctors for free, and does not charge consumers or doctors to find, book, or receive appointments

Going forward, Practo will continue adding more doctors in São Paulo and other parts of Brazil to its platform. Additionally, Practo will expand its consumer offering to cover more healthcare segments such as wellness, fitness, preventive, and curative segments.

Meanwhile, Practo Ray is a cloud-based practice management solution which aims to simplify and automate practice management so that doctors can focus on treating and caring for their patients. Besides simplifying scheduling, calendaring, billing, and inventory management for doctors, Practo Ray also helps create digital healthcare records and prescriptions so that consumers are always able to access their healthcare history from the Practo app. Practo Ray is available at a monthly subscription fee of around US$200.

Practo is currently available in 15 countries and over 50 cities around the world. It lists over 200,000 doctors, 10,000 hospitals, 8000 diagnostic centres, and over 4000 wellness centres globally. The company receives over 10 million searches a month across its website and apps.
