Nominum has launched a suite of N2 applications for use by communications services providers (CSPs), namely: N2 Care, N2 Engage and N2 Promote.
A press statement by the Redwood City, California-based vendor said the suite of applications leverages Internet activity sourced from the Domain Name System (DNS).
It said this is an underutilized resource which Nominum is now tapping to enable CSPs to deliver messages to users by way of the latter's browsers.
It claimed that the benefits to CSPs that install the N2 Suite are the following:
- The ability to engage with and retain subscribers through N2 Care
- The ability to deliver safe and personalized Internet experiences through N2 Engage
- The ability to develop up-sell and cross-sell opportunities through N2 Promote
Highly Effective Campaigns
The press statement claimed that with the N2 Suite, CSPs marketing teams could now deliver highly effective marketing campaigns.
At the same time, customer care teams could now interact with customers and both of these would be done through in-browser messaging.
It pointed out that CSPs spend more than US $ 150 billion yearly in marketing customer care by way of traditional channels such as direct marketing, telemarketing, email, and SMS-all of which are expensive and which provide only limited interactivity as well as measurability.
By way of contrast, N2 enables them to do these at minimum cost and in real time.
Because of this, the statement claimed Nominum is now taking the leveraging of DNS to a higher level.
