LINE Corporation launches LINE Pay Card and LINE Points as part of the expansion of its LINE Pay services.

The LINE Pay Card-which was launched in partnership with JCB Co., Ltd.-is linked with the LINE Pay accounts of the users, and can be used for online and in-store purchases at roughly 30 million merchants affiliated with JCB in Japan and abroad.

A two percent rebate is also offered on purchases using the card. Application for the LINE Pay Card does not involve a credit screening process, nor is there any age restrictions or annual fee for registration.

Another service launched is the LINE Points reward programme, which allows LINE Pay Card users to earn points by purchasing or using Internet services at a rate of two points for every 100 Japanese Yen (JPY) spent.

The accumulated points can be used to shop at LINE STORE and LINE FRIENDS online store at a rate of one point to JPY 1. Additionally, users who have earned 1,000 points or more can convert them into part of their LINE Pay balance that can be used at affiliate LINE Pay stores, send money to other users, or withdraw money to a designated bank account. Users can also monitor their usage history in real-time using LINE.

Meanwhile, the existing LINE Free Coins reward programme will also be incorporated to the LINE Points programme to allow users to also earn LINE Points using the LINE main app.
