Mei.com and Alibaba have teamed on launching the TMALL Luxury Flash-Sale Channel.

Both organisations combined this with a live-streamed fashion show event featuring 42 looks, which can be purchased immediately thanks to the launch of this new channel.

This flash-sale was hugely successful as millions of consumers watched the live-streamed fashion show and shopped through the TMALL Mobile Phone APP.

The fashion show had a style quotient also with actor Peter Sheng, of the China Hit web series "Go Princess Go" fame walked in the show in a Carven suit.

Another showstopper at the event was Olivia Palermo who participated by styling one of the runway looks and was a front-row attendee flaunting the look herself.

Watching from home

The ecommerce technology implemented by the new TMALL Luxury Flash-Sale Channel has enabled consumers to enjoy glamour and excitement of the event from the comfort of their home.

Consumers had the opportunity to choose from 42 runway looks of clothing and accessories, including 30 womenswear looks, 10 menswear looks, and 2 children's looks.

The event became even more exciting when popstar Tia Ray gave a passionate performance for the show finale.

Consumers bought luxury brands from 5 of the world's fashion capitals including Paris, New York, Milan, London, and Shanghai.

Sergio Rossi, Proenza Schouler, Stuart Weitzman, Carven, Zegna Sport, and Galeries Lafayette were among the many luxury brands featured during the show.
