Martha Lane Fox urges government to fulfil Tim Berners-Lee's web vision

Derek du Preez | Feb. 3, 2014
UK's Baroness Martha Lane Fox has urged the government to fulfil Sir Tim Berners-Lee's vision for the World Wide Web, but has warned that this may be a bumpy year for the government's digital service (GDS).

"Everybody goes through the teething pains, there's always bumpy bits in the road and it requires absolute commitment and total clarity to keep going. I think that's what this next year is going to be about."

She finished: "It would be amazing to look back and say this really was the year where we moved from government thinking 'it's quite interesting', to [GDS] being a proper paradigm shift in how things are done."
