Singapore telco M1 has reported that its net profit after tax increased 4.4% year-on-year to US$ 42.8 million.
The telco has recently released its unaudited group financial reports for the three months (Q1) ended 31 March 2014.
A few other highlights of its announcement were the following:
- Service revenue grew 2.1 % year-on-year to US$203.9 million, driven by growth in mobile data usage and customer base
- Non-voice revenue rose 5.6 % year on year to 45.1% of service revenue
- Free cash flow for the quarter was US$ 41.3 million
The press statement said M1's customer base as of March 31 stood at 2,104,000 even as its fibre customers numbered 90,000.
The statement said that based on current economic outlook and barring unforeseen circumstances, M1 would experience moderate growth in 2014.
