Lenovo springs into the New Year with powerful PCs

Introduces new devices for both general and business users

Lenovo has announced the availability of its latest range of PC Plus devices designed for both work and play including the new Lenovo ThinkPads X1 Carbon, Helix 2, X250, T450 and T450s, and Lenovo YOGA 3 and MIIX 3.

"Celebrating our 100th millionth ThinkPad sold this year, we are excited to introduce the latest generation ThinkPad X1 Carbon, the world's lightest 14" performance Ultrabook," said Jessie Quek, Country General Manager, Lenovo Singapore. "With innovation being a part of our DNA, we will continue to design devices that deliver outstanding computing experiences for the DOers of today."

Among the PCs available, the top of the line is the ThinkPad X1 Carbon, Lenovo's top business ultrabook. "With up to 10.9 hours of battery life, the lightest 14" performance Ultrabook in the world features a new range of options, such as a super bright WQHD color burst display for the best viewing experience and a PCIe solid state drive for up to 80% faster storage performance" said Quek.

It is less than 0.7" thin and weighs a mere 1.3kg and sports a 3K resolution display. It features the 5th Generation Intel Core i processor and has a whole suite of accessories, she added.

The ThinkPad Helix 2 is  a two-in-one Ultrabook featuring an 11.6" full HD display. Quek said that the Helix can be used as a fully-functional PC or a tablet, without its detachable keyboard. It is powered with an Intel Core M processor, and boasts 12 hours of battery life. It has security features such as SmartCard and Fingerprint reader support. It weighs less than 1.5kg and measures just an inch thick. "With five convenient usage modes - Tent, Laptop, Tablet, Stand and Desktop - the Helix is ever-ready to adapt to any business computing needs," Quek said.

ThinkPad X and T Series

Equipped with the latest Intel 5th Generation Core i processors are the ThinkPad X and T Series notebooks. They include the following:

  • ThinkPad X250: The ThinkPad X250 offers up to 20 hours of battery life in a single charge, thanks to its innovative Power Bridge technology, and weighs a little over 1.3kg, the X250 delivers great portability without sacrificing performance. Featuring a 12.5" display up to FHD, the Ultrabook comes equipped with impressive SSD storage or up to 1 TB HDD.
  • T450 and T450s feature a brilliant 14" HD touch screen display and deliver enterprise-class performance. Both notebooks feature up to 17 hours of battery life, with the T450 starting at 1.8kg and its slimmer sibling, the T450s starting at 1.5 kg.


Showcasing a thin and sleek design, at less than 0.8" and 1.6kg, is the new YOGA 3. It features a vibrant 14" FHD display that yields bright, detailed visuals for outstanding performance in gaming and multimedia. The convertible comes equipped with a 10-point multitouch technology providing superior touch experience, for greater responsiveness, and faster response times.
