Just Eat, the online takeaway and delivery service, has acquired London online takeaway service Orogo.
Orogo is a collection only app, which enables customers to order and pay for their lunch in advance and collect from some of central London's most popular restaurants.
Orogo was set up by Christoph Lippuner and Mikael Landau, who wanted to provide a solution to busy lunch-time queues in London. After the acquisition — the value of which has not been disclosed — they will both continue to run Orogo independently, said Just Eat, with the benefit of additional investment to help drive growth.
Graham Corfield, UK managing director of Just Eat, said: "This deal enhances our collection offering and Orogo will enable us to provide an even better service to our takeaway restaurant partners and customers."
Lippuner said: "This new partnership will further strengthen our position as a growing London startup and provide us with expertise from the leading player in the online takeaway sector."
