Intel Corp's Solid State Drive (SSD) 730 series of storage devices are now available in Singapore to meet the most demanding performance needs of computing enthusiasts.
A press statement by the Santa Clara, California-based IT vendor said the series of drives has been optimized for heavy workloads such as digital content creation, extreme gaming or video editing.
The press statement said the devices push the limits of storage performance by factory overclocking components to bring about a 50 % in controller speed and 20% in NAND bus speed.
Data Centre DNA
It added that the devices in the series deliver high endurance and consistent performance as a result of the Intel Data Centre DNA, Intel's advanced firmware algorithms.
These algorithms bring about "data centre efficiency and durability for all data types, whether single drive or multiple RAID arrays".
It said the SSD supports up to 70 GB writes per day for five years.
Their suggested retail prices were listed as the following: $S360 for drives with 240 GB storage capacity and $690 for drives with 420 GB capacity.
