Customers of the Converged Enterprise
To further this point of HP leadership, Merritt cited a number of customers from across the globe who have continued being successful in their respective businesses, in great part due to HP technology. Among them, the Australian mining company, Fortescue Metals Group, whose CIO Vito Forte was quoted saying: "With our HP CloudSystem, we can implement solutions quickly and cost-effectively. With this new agility, IT is now making a difference. By helping the business achieve its goals, we are generating an immediate and significant return on our investment."
Another was the National Credit Card Center of Taiwan, which has the membership of 34 banks in the country and processes 423 million credit-card transactions annually. Using HP technology, we are told, they are now better able to manage the strong growth they continue to experience in user volumes, facilitate alternative payment gateways such as mobile and NFC-based platforms, and even constantly enhance user experience and interaction across their multiple channels.
"[The National Credit Card Center of Taiwan's] business is exploding because Taiwan is moving from a cash-based system to a cashless one," Merritt said. "We implemented HP converged infrastructure solutions with 3PAR that allowed them to significantly reduce costs and provided them with more capacity on an orderly path for growth. "
Yet another customer success Merritt cited was that of Neusoft Xikang Healthcare Technology Company in China, whose parent company Neusoft Corporation's Chairman and CEO, Dr Liu Jiren, was quoted saying: "By taking advantage of the latest technology advances, Neusoft is looking forward to accelerating the provision of healthcare monitoring to more people across China."
Done with that, Merritt, his team and colleagues went on to unveil the following.
