HP recently announced a new channel partner programme designed to help their partners expand their markets to gain more revenues.
The new "Think Big" initiative aims to help channel partners in the Asia Pacific region and Japan to win more customers across the storage, servers and networking businesses.
Qualified distributors will have access to HP training, sales and marketing support to expand their sale opportunities for the following HP solutions: HP Converged Infrastructure, including HP ProLiant Servers, HP 3PAR Storage, HP Business Critical Servers and HP Networking.
HP said that this support will allow their channel partners to meet the expectations of HP customers, particularly for enterprise and SMB customers who are looking at modernising their infrastructures as they face the challenges of big data and emerging computing models such as cloud computing.
"Partners are coming under increasing pressure to support a range of complex business models for their customers," said Narinder Kapoor, vice president and general manager, HP Enterprise Group, Southeast Asia.
Based on the feedback they are getting from their partners, HP felt the need to support their partners with flexible and financially attractive support.
"With this new channel initiative HP is helping partners to expand business opportunities through delivery of high-value solutions while capitalising on HP sales, technical and marketing resources," added Kapoor.
Already, HP has signed up ECS Solutions as its first partner to benefit from the programme. ECS' network across Southeast Asia includes presence in Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand.

HP said it is also extending its HP ServiceONE support programme designed to help HP partners grow their business in the high-growth technology services markets. The programme is to help qualified channel partners sell HP Converged Infrastructure solutions backed by HP services and support.
