Hitachi Data Systems (HDS) has launched a new flash portfolio that includes an expanded line-up of all-flash and hybrid flash arrays, performance optimisation software and data analytics capabilities.

The new offering includes the all-flash Hitachi Virtual Storage Platform (VSP) F series, that according to the vendor, is backed by the industry's only 100 per cent data availability guarantee. Enhanced models of the Hitachi VSP G series and new versions of Hitachi flash modules with in-line data compression (FMD DC2) rounded out the new storage arrays.
The Hitachi Automation Director, for self -service provisioning of flash storage, and Hitachi Data Centre Analytics tools have also been enhanced.
