Green Koncepts' new solution to help SMEs achieve energy savings

Nurdianah Md Nur | Sept. 12, 2013
SMEs adopting the solution can claim up to 70 percent of the qualifying costs as part of the Singapore government's S$17 million SME Energy Efficiency Initiative.

With energy costs expected to increase, SMEs can consider adopting the Koncepts Energy Management (KEM) SME Kit as it provides tools to drive energy efficiency.

Green Koncepts, the provider of the KEM SME Kit, said the solution will help SMEs achieve at least 10 percent energy savings.

With the KEM SME Kit, SMEs can automate the process of collecting energy data and monitor their energy usage in real time from any web browser. SMEs can also use the solution to access energy analytics to identify areas of energy wastage, as well as validate the impact of energy efficiency initiatives in real time.

Understanding the resources and knowledge constraints faced by SMEs, the KEM SME Kit is designed to be "a simple and ready to adopt energy management package", said Kenneth Lee, CEO of Green Koncepts. The solution does not require additional wiring, therefore resulting in faster deployment, as well as lower implementation costs and business disruptions.

The KEM SME Kit is listed under Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA)'s iSPRINT Packaged Solutions. SMEs can claim up to 70 percent of the qualifying costs, capped at S$20,000 (US$15,750) for the purchase of the first packaged solution listed under each solution category. The funding is part of the Singapore government's S$17 million (US$13.4 million) SME Energy Efficiency Initiative.

Customers interested in the KEM SME Kit can preview it at BEX Asia 2013, booth A16, at Marina Bay Sands today and tomorrow (13 September 2013).
