The Astra Airlines Group of Greece has chosen Ramco Systems’ solutions for a host of airline operations solutions, a win that Ramco said “fortifies (its) position in the global MRO segment.”

Astra is one of the emerging passenger airlines in Greece. It has been on the lookout for aviation solutions, but opted for the Ramco solutions because of its key features, including its cloud computing capabilities.

Ramco will provide the airline with its maintenance repair and overhaul (MRO) solution, including maintenance & engineering (M&E), aviation finance, technical records & engineering, inventory & supply chain, and maintenance planning & execution.

Moreover, the solution’s friendly user-interface, ease of learning, structured implementation strategy and cloud configuration promise to make this project successful from the very beginning. We are confident that we will be realising concrete improvements on our M&E KPIs by the end of the current year.

Virender Aggarwal, CEO, Ramco Systems, said its cloud solutions are suited for “the under-served small and medium operator space, globally” but it can be scalable for large and small enterprises as well. He added that the scalability features of the MRO solutions make the company “a preferred choice as the MRO solution partner, across the aviation industry.”

Aggarwal said Ramco has been increasing its presence in the aviation business, and the Astra win is further boost to its business.

“The Aviation software has been well received for its functionalities, and with its latest features of Mobility, Gen-Y user interface and intuitive WorkSpaces, it is sure to appeal many more customers,” added Aggarwal.

Aside from the Greek airline, Ramco already scored wins for other airlines as well, including Emirates, GoAir, Air Tahiti, Caribbean Airlines and Hevilift, among others.

Ramco said its Ramco Aviation Suite caters to airlines, rotor wing operators as well as third party MROs.
