Golden Equator Consulting (GE Consulting), a Singapore-based full-service business consultancy firm, has launched an office in Singapore to cater to the increasing needs of SMEs and start-ups here and around the region.
According to the company, SMEs today account for more than 96 percent of all enterprises in ASEAN, with 170,000 located in Singapore. By leveraging on its decades of C-suite in-house experience across a broad range of verticals, GE Consulting offers both strategic and executional consulting services that help actualise clients' growth activities including go-to market strategies and channel management.
GE Consulting commenced operations in December 2013, having established a Singapore office as a key strategic hub to service its clients in Singapore and the Southeast region. Within two years, the company has grown their team from five to 15 employees. GE Consulting is looking to further expand the team to 25 by year end, it added.
In addition to the office launch, GE Consulting also announced that they are looking to introduce a pipeline of new portfolio companies - across the F&B, retail, technology and hospitality sectors - within the next six months in Singapore and the region.
Maintaining a robust portfolio of start-ups and projects in the technology sector, GE Consulting believes that Singapore has significant untapped opportunities within the sector.
"We see Singapore as a hotbed for tech start-ups due to the financial capital, government support and investment, infrastructure, stability, and a safe and transparent place to do business, with the added security of IP protection," said Sharon Chong, CEO of GE Consulting.
