Kaspersky's Global Think Test champion, Dr. Swetha P. Jain
Twenty-seven-year-old Dr. Swetha P. Jain from Chennai, India was crowned the Kaspersky Global Think Test Champion on 6 September 2014.
She was awarded the grand cash prize of US$25,000 after beating 35,000 participants from all over the world in the challenge. When asked how she will be spending her prize money, she said that she will use part of it to "fund In vitro fertilisation research" in an effort to fulfill her dream of "becoming a renowned researcher". Dr Jain holds a degree in medicine and surgery and is currently pursuing her Masters in Science.
Held by Kaspersky Lab and Mensa, the Global Think Test challenge is a series of online brain games, quizzes and puzzles. Over a 24-hour period, participants could access the Global Think Test site to answer nine questions or less within two minutes to stand a chance of winning the grand prize.
According to Alexander Erofeev, Kaspersky Lab's chief marketing officer, the challenge aims to remind participants to "be alert to recognise threats wherever they encounter them online." "We hope that the skills developed during the challenge represent a positive input into the digital risk literacy of every participant," he added.
