ASX-listed Data#3 (ASX:DTL) has become the eighth partner to join the Global IT Alliance (GITA).
Data#3 CEO, Laurence Baynham, said becoming a member allowed them to partner with companies that offer the same service standards in international markets where it doesn’t have a physical presence.
“This means we can offer and implement solutions with consistent service level agreements for global customers, leveraging the alliance,” he said.
GITA kicked off in 2014, when European-based IT services provider, Bechtle AG, recognised a demand from global customers. It built on the company’s network of 66 IT system houses in Germany, Austria and Switzerland and e-commerce subsidiaries in 14 European countries.
GITA members are carefully selected in close cooperation with vendor partners and there are plans to further expand its reach.
Other members already taking part in the alliance include Atea (Scandinavia and Baltic states) , South Africa’s Datacentrix, Japan’s JBS, JOS (China, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore), New Zealand’s Lexel and USA’s PC Connection.
