Credit Suisse empowers its Asian private banking customers with new app

The app will provide clients with their account information, market insights relevant to their portfolio, and tools to help them better connect with their relationship managers.

 The bank also took the chance to redefine the way itcategorisedits clients while developing the app. Instead of classifying clients based on their assets under management or source of wealth, the bank analysed how they make decisions in relation to their finances. Majority of Credit Suisse's private banking clients in the region were found to be "validators". Monnet explained that validators are clients who want to understand investment opportunities and trade-offs to validate with their advisors, and appreciate support in understanding global markets. This thus affirms the need for the new app as it provides such clients with access to all the relevant information and expertise from the bank to enable them to make confidently make informed decisions.

Currently available only on the iPad, the app will soon be accessible throughweb browsers, iPhones and Android devices. It will be rolled out progressively to clients in the Asia Pacific region before extending its reach globally.  New features and enhancements — such as tools for portfolio analysis, trading capabilities, alerts based on clients' preferences, and language options —will be released in phases too.
