CIO Summit 2013: Konica Minolta and Business Values

CIO Asia, MIS Asia Editorial Team | July 5, 2013
One business leader talks about how his vendor organisation is helping customers marry new technology with business goals.

What will be the most important trends to emerge in the next couple years?
Technological convergence where data, voice, devices and applications merge to serve similar purposes, with extensive usage. This will be a boon for the enterprise for they can benefit from seamless connection, processes and focused delivery. With the consolidation and optimisation, acquisition cost will be lower and deployment will be easier.

We will see a higher adoption rate of workforce using own tablet devices for work and cloud computing.

What will you be doing in response to these trends?
We continually innovate our offerings and extend the depth and breadth of the portfolio. Companies will benefit from greater synergy and integration of their strategies across multiple platforms. We have upgraded our application for smart devices that can be connected to external cloud services, in response to the growing needs of mobile users, whilst maintaining a secured print environment by utilising the existing file servers in corporations.

This function makes it possible to provide the same level of work environment, while enhancing productivity, work efficiency and reducing additional operating cost.
