IBM software and services company, Certus Solutions, has restructured part of its business, splitting the management of two lines - business analytics (BA) and information management (IM) - as a result of significant growth in both areas.
Certus general manager - information management and business analytics, Tom Reich, said: "These changes have been designed to adapt to the rapidly changing market dynamics and the growing solution portfolio IBM provides in both Business Analytics and Information Management."
Two new appointments have been made to lead the business lines: Julien Redmond as general manager, information management; Dannielle Nguyen as general manager, business analytics.
"Though information management and business analytics do often go hand-in-hand, they now need to be managed as two very distinct offerings due to their increasing complexity. Analytics isn't just about business intelligence, reporting and analysis for finance, operations and sales functions any more. For example, we are now providing predictive and social analytics for marketing departments," said Reich.
"Information Management is no longer just data warehousing and data management. Now it's all about big data and information governance as well as data quality," Reich said.
Redmond has been with Certus for four years as its business development manager. During that time he was instrumental in the formation of Certus' IM practice in Victoria, WA and Queensland.
In his new role, heis responsible for the continued growth and success of the Certus IM division across A/NZ.
Dannielle Nguyen joins Certus with more than 16 years' experience in the ICT and business environment. Most recently she was client executive at Tridant, focusing on services and software sales. Prior to that, Dannielle worked for Certus as its Canberra branch manager where she was instrumental in growing its business intelligence and planning practice.
Dannielle will be responsible for the growth, profit and general health of the BA division across A/NZ. She will also own the BA brand relationship with IBM.
