Bosch to revolutionise parking

Nurdianah Md Nur | April 28, 2016
The company is working on solutions that eliminate the pain points associated with parking.

To further reduce the time taken to find a parking slot, Bosch is also working on a community-based parking solution, which allows vehicles themselves to act as sensors. "As vehicles move along a street, they'll register free spaces, and transmit this information over the internet to the Bosch server. This information will then be used to generate a real-time parking map, which will be fed to the community of subscriber vehicles," said Dr Denner.

"Our objective is to achieve complete automated, driverless parking within two years, and automated driving on freeways by the end of the decade. [We are doing so] step by step [so in the meantime], we will use driver assistance systems to make driving [and parking] safer [and less stressful]," he added.
